Curator - Kinetic Art Projects/Twisted Oyster Festival, Chicago, IL 2015-Present
Directed art events to enhance the collective art experience. Conducted studio visits, coordinated programming, organized fundraisers and carried out presentations. Wrote grants, created and distributed marketing products, including web-based and social marketing. Curated art shows and provided technical assistance for artists during exhibitions. Drafted and monitored budget. Coordinated art exhibition installation/de-installation.

Visual Communications/Design Consultant - Freelance, Chicago, IL 2014-Present
Worked closely with HK Strategies account managers and Creative Circle creating digital work for major brands to be used in web and print media. Projects include managing the production of media design for use in email marketing, brochures, interactive displays, medical publications, presentations and training environments: online and corporate training. Worked with US and Latin America brands such as Red Roof Inn, International Hotels Group, Mr. Coffee, Diageo Corp., The Puerto Rico Tourism and Travel Company, University of Illinois at Chicago Hospitals, and Online Course Learning, among others.

Artist-Curator in Residence of ZBAC New media and Performance Art Room - Zhou B Art Center, Chicago, IL 2014-2016
Planned, hosted exhibitions and collaborated with artists. Under the mentorship of the art center’s director of exhibitions, took leadership in the implementation of time-based media and installation artworks.Worked closely with invited artists to develop site-specific projects. Booked and scheduled exhibitions. Projected and monitored expenses. Administered consignment agreements, contracts, insurance certificates, permit applications, invoices, receipts, inventory, and contact database. Served as primary point of contact for artists, press inquiries, and partnerships associated to the New Media Room. Designed miscellaneous marketing material, maintained website content and wrote grant proposals. Founded a film festival and documented all curatorial projects under the name, Kinetic Art Projects.

Instructional Designer - University of Miami, Information Technology, Miami, FL 2010-2014
Worked with and consulted Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the development of a training curriculum. Formed part of the project’s “Change” team under the direction of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for the university. Produced multimedia collateral in support of marketing efforts and later for training program. This included graphics,

video, audio, print and animated based products for web and live training and presentations. Participated in preliminary drafting tutorials, job aids, tip sheets, reference guides, workshops and presentations. Worked alongside
the communications and training managers and team director. Made recommendations as needed. Assisted with identifying existing training gaps. Ensured that training materials and technical equipment were up to date and upgraded. Assisted with scheduling logistics and coordination of classes for faculty and staff.

Multimedia Specialist/Supervisor - University of Miami, Richter Library, Digital Media Lab, Miami, FL 2010-Present
Managed day-to-day operations of the Media Lab, supervised assistants and provided instruction to patrons working with multimedia products. Provided high-quality design software support, evaluated procedures and implemented/updated software, explored emerging technologies as needed, trained, orientated and evaluated workers. Designed marketing material, provided photography and video production services for numerous events. Responsible for digitization of analog media for archival and educational purposes. Assisted faculty in the creation of training videos and workshop presentations. Conducted workshops and maintained website.

Information Director (Athletics) - Miami Dade College, Miami, FL 2010-2012
Directed marketing efforts in the production of media for advertising of the sports teams. Collaborated with the media staff in the direction and production of posters, brochures, media guides, flyers and video ad campaigns. Responsible for directing website layout and design. Coordinated video and photo shoots of teams’ athletics and games. Assisted with planning of tournaments, summer camps, and luncheons. Wrote press releases, created and conducted presentations, and assisted as game announcer.

Media Service Creative - Miami Dade College, Miami, FL 2007-2010
Produced diverse multimedia projects involving design of graphics, photography and photo editing, and video production. Conceptualized ideas for graphic design projects and made recommendations as needed. Worked closely with faculty and staff in the creation of flyers, posters and other print material. Responsible for assisting in all aspects of video production. Assisted with setup of staging miscellaneous productions (interviews, training videos, presentations). As a production crew member, responsible for manning camara as needed. Experienced using dollies, jibs, rigs and booms. Experienced with setup and photo/video shooting of large scale events: conferences, fairs, festivals, ceremonies, live sport and cultural events and music concerts. Worked closely to production manager. Responsible for transferring data, logging time codes and post production.

Project Architect/Project Manager - MC Construction/Red Design Group, Miami FL 2000-2006
Supervised design team, organized workflow and adhere to project schedule for ongoing design projects. Assisted with shop-drawing reviews. Calculated cost analysis, wrote up construction budgets and proposals, and forecasted project schedules. Executed site visits and consulted with principal, senior project architect/manager, drafters, engineers, city managers and contractors. Researched code standards and design specifications in support of various commercial design-build projects.
