Rojo Rosa Rosado

3-channel installation
Original video duration: 06:00
(video clip 02:35)

This work reacts and joins contemporary tensions, rising throughout Latin America, questioning not only the historic cultural, social, religious, political and familial colonization but the colonization of the female body, and the violent aggression towards femininity.
This first half of the video comprehends a collage of images interleaving sound, movement and color. This is followed by the voices of tenths of women who use the live broadcast beauty pageant as a platform to protest and denounce the femicides in their localities in lieu of the expected body measurements.
