Beyond the sexiness and abundance of colours, the kaleidoscope series titled, Sunday in the Park, was produced Sunday, July 13, 2014. The work pays homage to my mother on the 4th month of her passing and the work is product of the longing, morning and loss. I produced it from collecting images of shoes representing the people that come and go in life. Shoes as an emblem of the existing being in the present moment but eventually passing through. Sunday in the Park is a very special work to me. Its effect of ephemerality through fussiness and blurriness is not the result of the editing room but rather product of intentionality, setting up the camera lens out of focus and laying on the sidewalk in Millenium Park in Chicago while placing the camera sideways in solace of the mourning, somewhat confused by the sudden changes in my life.
